I'm Amelia,
the eye behind Haus of Ouwerkerk.
I started shooting as a teenager, drawn to photography over drawing because it let me work with people instead of alone at a desk. Since then I've worked across graduation photography, kindergarten and school portraits, runway, fashion editorials, and headshots. All this before completing a Diploma of Photography and shaping that range into what I do now.
Most of the people I work with aren't models, and they don't need to be. I know how to direct without it feeling directed, guiding you when it matters, stepping back when it doesn't.
Alongside my own shoots, I've spent years working within an established wedding studio, which is where I learned how a day actually runs. Everything from where to be, to when to move things along and most importantly, when to let a moment happen on its own.
You're not just getting photos. You're getting someone who's spent as many years on fashion sets and editorial shoots as on wedding days, and knows how to bring both into the same frame.
Who I Work Best With
Couples who care how their wedding looks, but don’t want it to feel forced.
Not purely documentary, not overly posed just something in between.
People who want direction when it matters, a day that runs smoothly, and photos that feel natural but still look elevated.
If This Feels like you
You don’t need to have everything figured out.
Share a few details about your plans, and I’ll guide you through the rest.
