ABOUT
I'm Amelia, the eye behind Haus of Ouwerkerk.
With a background in both visual arts and language, I craft cinematic, emotionally charged imagery that blends fashion, story, and soul. I’ve dreamed of being every kind of creative — artist, model, musician, designer — and photography is where all those instincts finally converged. I’ve been behind the camera for eight years, but I still enjoy chasing the next project that sets my heart alight. Ouw Haus, as I like to affectionately call it, is the physical form of a childhood dream: a space for sensitive visionaries who feel too much and create anyway. It allows me to expand beyond photography into styling, creative direction, and eventually leading a full team of artists who bring beauty to life. My work isn’t about trends, it’s about timeless tension, the beauty in stillness, and the moments that stay with you long after the shutter clicks.

I work with all kinds of people, and I care deeply about how you feel in front of the camera. Whether you're loud or quiet, queer or questioning, reserved or radiant — you deserve to feel beautiful and seen. My job is to meet you where you are and reflect something honest back.

I’m drawn to people who feel deeply and see beauty in the details; the romantic thinkers, the rule-breakers, the ones who care about how something feels just as much as how it looks. If you value story, style, and soul, we’ll probably get along.

Yes. My background spans styling, creative direction, and visual strategy. Which means I often help shape the entire look and feel of a shoot. I don’t just show up and click the shutter. I immerse myself in the energy, tone, and aesthetic of what we’re creating together.

I don’t wait for perfect light or perfect conditions — I shape what’s there. Whether I’m chasing natural emotion during a wedding or crafting a look on set, I respond to the space, the energy, and the people in front of me. My style blends documentary instincts with fashion direction. There’s softness in how I handle light, but sharpness in how I see. I’m not afraid to direct, to pause, or to experiment until it feels right. It’s not about trends. It’s about the tension between real and refined.
If you feel drawn to the work, that’s no accident.
Let’s start something meaningful together. Reach out to share your vision. I’d love to hear about it.
